News Davenport Songwriting Contest Will Be Judged By Ryan Silverman, Natalie Weiss and Ryan Scott Oliver; Sheri Sanders to Host The first annual Davenport Songwriting Contest, presented by Broadway producer Ken Davenport, will be held Jan. 30 at 7 PM at the Davenport Theatre.

The contest, hosted by Sheri Sanders ("Rock The Audition"), will feature ten songs competing for the title of Best Song and a $500 grand prize. All finalists will receive a cash prize of $50.

Singers include Hannah Elless (Somewhere In Time, Godspell), Ben Fankhauser (Newsies), Craig Waletzko (Guys & Dolls, Young Frankenstein) and Mary Kate Morrissey (Hair).

The winner will be chosen by the audience and a panel of celebrity guest judges, including Natalie Weiss (Everyday Rapture), Ryan Silverman (Chicago, The Phantom of the Opera) and Ryan Scott Oliver (Jasper In Deadland).

The evening will also feature a guest performance by Oliver, singing "Stroke by Stroke" from Jasper In Deadland.

6. "Just Between Us," (Music & Lyrics by David Reiffel & Michael Wartofsky), Sung by Erica Spyres

7. "I Could Be a Hero," (Music & Lyrics by Madeline Myers), Sung by Ben Fankhauser
