Marie Antoinette premiered at the American Repertory Theater in 2012 in a co-production with the Yale Repertory Theatre, where it played later that fall. The Soho Rep production will reunite several members of the original cast.

Presented in association with John Adrian Selzer, Yale Rep and A.R.T., Marie Antoinette will run Oct. 9-Nov. 3.

In addition to Ireland (Reasons to Be Pretty), the cast will include David Greenspan (The Patsy), Steven Ratazzi (Age of Iron), Marsha Stephanie Blake (The Merchant of Venice), Jennifer Ikeda (Top Girls), Aimee Laurence (Beyond the Horizon) and Karl Miller (Completeness).

Ireland, Greenspan and Ratazzi were part of the Yale Rep production.

Here's how Soho Rep bills the play: "The eyes of the court are on her, and nothing good can come of it. They used to love Marie just the way she was. But now change is in the air and things are about to be different for France’s isolated young queen. Things are about to be different for everybody. Aren't they?... A raw, fantastical, and funny production about a moment in time when the political suddenly got very personal. You've never seen a history play quite like this."

Marie Antoinette will have set design by Riccardo Hernandez, costume design by Anka Lupes, lighting design by Stephen Strawbridge, sound design by Matt Hubbs, wig design by Amanda Miller, props design by Jon Knust and choreography by Sam Pinkleton.

Adjmi's plays also include 3C, Elective Affinities, Stunning, The Evildoers, Strange Attractors and Caligula.
