News David Baddiel to Bring New Show Fame: Not the Musical to London's Menier Chocolate Factory Comedian David Baddiel will bring his latest show, Fame: Not the Musical, to London's Menier Chocolate Factory for an extended run, beginning performances April 29, prior to an official opening May 1, for a run through May 23.

The show premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe and was subsequently seen at London's Southbank Centre. It revolves around the subject of fame. According to press materials, "Our society is obsessed with it – but who will talk honestly about what it’s really like? From accidentally stealing the spotlight at Russell Brand’s wedding, to realising Andrew Lloyd Webber cannot tell him apart from Ben Elton, Baddiel takes aim at himself, and examines his strange relationship with the New Lad / Token Jew / Comedy rock’n’roller / football singer-songwriter that people see him as." Baddiel is currently adapting his comedy "The Infidel," which he wrote and produced, into a stage musical, as well as developing Sit.com, a pilot for Channel 4, which follows a technology-addicted family's everyday life. He has also created and will host a brand-new format for BBC Radio 4, "Don't Make Me Laugh," challenging comedians to not get a laugh on inherently funny topics, which has been commissioned for a series. He also has scripts in development with both Bwark Productions and Montecito Pictures in the U.S.

Other shows he has created and presented include "Fantasy Football," "Baddiel and Skinner Unplugged," "The Mary Whitehouse Experience" and "Newman and Baddiel in Pieces."
