News David Cromer's Our Town at the Huntington Will Star Cromer, Derrick Trumbly, Therese Plaehn and More Derrick Trumbly, Therese Plaehn, Stacy Fischer and Christopher Tarjan will join David Cromer for the Huntington Theatre Company production of Thornton Wilder's Our Town. Cromer brings his Obie Award-winning 2009 Off-Broadway staging to Boston beginning Dec. 7 at the Calderwood Pavilion.

As previously reported, Cromer (Tribes, Brighton Beach Memoirs), who directed and appeared as the Stage Manager in the long-running Off-Broadway revival of Our Town, will again perform double-duty for the Huntington. It will officially open Dec. 13 for run through Jan. 13, 2013, in the 250-seat Roberts Studio Theatre. Our Town will inaugurate the space.

Cromer will remain with the production through Dec. 30, at which point Joel Colodner (A Memory of Two Mondays) will take over the role of the Stage Manager (beginning Dec. 31) for the remainder of the run. Trumbly will portray George Gibbs with Plaehn as Emily, Fischer as Mrs. Webb and Tarjan as Editor Webb.

Completing the company are Richard Arum as Professor Willard, Marianna Bassham as Mrs. Soames, Nicholas Carter as Sam Craig, Paul Farwell as Constable, Douglas Griffin as Farmer McCarty, Melinda Lopez as Mrs. Gibbs, Kathryn Lynch as Irma, Jay Ben Markson as Joe, Jr., Craig Mathers as Doc Gibbs, Nael Nacer as Simon Stimson, Dale Place as Joe Stoddard, Alex Pollock as Howie, Elliot Purcell as Wally, Emily Skeggs as Rebecca, Ryan Wenke as Si Crowell, as well as Suzanne Bixby, James Bocock, Anne Colpitts, Kevin Fennessy, Jeff Marcus, Ellen Peterson, Bill Salem, Ann Marie Shea, Sophie Sinclair, Ralph Stokes and Lynn Wolcott.

The production has scenic design by Stephen Dobay, costume design by Allison Siple, lighting design by Heather Gilbert and original music and music direction by Jonathan Mastro.
