"I'm honored to again have the opportunity to lead TDF, which is responsible for so many millions of theatre, dance and music lovers having access to live performance each year," said Holbrook in a prepared statement. "John Breglio's work at TDF during the past eight years has been exceptional. Under his guidance, TDF has grown in every arena. Our number of constituents has steadily grown. TDF's membership is now over 80,000 and these avid theatergoers can now purchase most of their tickets online. We've expanded all of our arts education programs, including 'Open Doors' and 'Stage Doors' and introduced 'open captioning,' a new technology for access for theatregoers with mild to severe hearing loss. John Breglio has been at the forefront of the revitalization of Duffy Square, which will include a new, permanent home for our TKTS Theatre Center. Most dramatically, he guided this organization during the horrific days and months after 9/11 when our TKTS Booth at 2 World Trade Center was destroyed, and we had to rebuild at alternate locations during that uncertain and difficult time."

Breglio stated: "I know that David Holbrook's expertise and history with the organization will serve him well as TDF's Chairman. Through his long association with TDF, David Holbrook has shown his deep commitment to TDF's mission of supporting works of artistic merit and making theatre and dance accessible for those would not normally be able to afford attendance. It has been my privilege to be able to work to support that mission for the past eight years. I trust that David Holbrook will again provide excellent leadership to TDF, working with a wonderful team in both TDF's Board and staff, under the guidance of Executive Director, Victoria Bailey."

Breglio, who will next year produce a Broadway revival of A Chorus Line, will remain involved with TDF as both its counsel and as co-chair of TDF's committee for the new TKTS Booth in Duffy Square.

Holbrook was recently chairman of the board for the Joyce Theater Foundation from 1996 to 2004.
