Randee Trabitz directs this comedic battle of the sexes, in which a happy young couple tries to overcome its divisions--she's Jewish, he's not--before taking the plunge into matrimony. Ives won an Outer Critics Circle Award for his comedy All in the Timing, which was widely performed in regional theatres during the 1995-96 season. His other works include Lives of the Saints, The Red Address, Seven Menus and Speed the Play.

Trabitz staged last year's hit comedy The Mystery of Irma Vep at the Tiffany Theatre, for which she received the 1998 L.A. Weekly Award for Best Director.

The Fountain Theatre is located at 5060 Fountain Ave., Hollywood. For tickets and information call (323) 663-1525.
