A memorial tribute for the late producer David Merrick will be held at the St. James Theatre on July 18 at 11 AM, Playbill On-Line has learned. Though details concerning the event were not available, a source close to the tribute said the memorial would probably be open to the public. "They usually are," the source suggested.
A late call to the David Merrick Foundation was not returned by press time.
Merrick did several shows at the St. James, including 42nd Street. The producer died in his sleep early April 25 in London. He was 88.
