Playbill On-Line has learned that composer David Shire and Tony Award winning Best Director (Ain't Misbehavin') and lyricist Richard Maltby, Jr., the award-winning collaborative team responsible for such works as Starting Here, Starting Now and Closer Than Ever, have begun work on a new project based on variations on the theme of "flight." In an recent interview, producer Daryl Roth (Wit, Three Tall Women, Bombitty of Errors, De La Guarda) told Playbill On-Line that the team was working on the "Flight" project and that she was enthused by the work.
