News Davis' My Expatriate, With Tandy Cronyn, Makes World Premiere in NYC May 20 Tandy Cronyn stars in Mass Appeal writer Bill C. Davis' My Expatriate, a tale of family friction directed by the author, at Off-Broadway's Manhattan Theatre Source in Greenwich Village May 20-30.

According to MTS production notes, "It is black Friday 2004. After a disastrous family Thanksgiving on Cape Cod, Muddy runs away from her home — and her husband. She arrives at her much beloved grandson Kemper's country home in upstate New York with a bottle of scotch, and brimming with family secrets ripe to be revealed, only to discover that Kemper, disenchanted with the political and social climate as well as the recent national election, is planning to leave the country."

Cronyn plays Muddy. She last appeared at Manhattan Theatre Source as Georgia O'Keefe in Joan Tewkesbury's Retrospective.

The world premiere of My Expatriate also features Brad Fraizer as Kemper and Jefferson Slinkard as Kenneth.

Davis is the author of Mass Appeal and Avow, Spine, Wrestlers and Dancing in the End Zone. (For more information, visit www.billcdavis.com.)

My Expatriate is presented in association with MAN underdog LLC. Manhattan Theatre Source is located at 177 MacDougal Street, between Waverly Place and West Eighth Street. Performances play Wednesday-Saturday at 8 PM. Tickets are $18. Tickets may be purchased in advance at www.theatresource.org or reservations can be made at (212) 501-4751.
