News "Dawson's Creek" Star Performs in NYC at Women's Project 25th Anniversary, May 12 While her "Dawson's Creek" co-star James Van Der Beek plays Off-Broadway in Rain Dance, Michelle Williams will help Women's Project & Productions celebrate their 25th anniversary season with a book launch and party, May 12.

Frances Sternhagen and Ruby Dee will join the television star at Women's Project Theatre.

Williams (Killer Joe), Sternhagen (Morning's at Seven) and Dee (A Raisin in the Sun) will perform in short scenes from the ninth anthology. Among the selections read will be The Exact Center of the Universe by Joan Vail Thorne, Saint Lucy's Eyes by Bridgette Wimberly, Etta Jenks by Marlane Gomard Meyer and Abingdon Square by Maria Irene Fornes.

Other artists to appear include Carolyn Baumler, Larry Block, Marge Redman, Roger Robinson and Sloane Shelton. All will act in scenes from the new publication "A Theatre For Women's Voices: Plays and History From The Women's Project at 25." Joan Vail Thorne, Billie Allen, Marya Cohn and Maria Mileaf will direct.

The 25th anniversary season of the Women's Project began with Cheat by Julie Jensen, directed by Joan Vail Thorne (October 10 - November 3) and continues with the current co-production with The New Group of The Women of Lockerbie by Deborah Brevoort, directed by Scott Elliott.
