News Day, Peil and More Will Make Time for Norman Dec. 4 The free Out Loud reading series continues Dec. 4 with the dark comedy Make Time for Norman, which asks, "Would your life be better if your father was a veterinarian?"

The 7 PM reading of Kate Walbert's play will be held at the Ars Nova and will feature the talents of Aadya Bedi, Reg E. Cathey, Frank Converse, Stevie Ray Dallimore, Johanna Day and Mary Beth Peil. Sam Gold directs. In Make Time for Norman, Nina, according to production notes, "has recently decided to purge herself of all the unnecessary parts of her life. As she seeks to cleanse herself — spiritually, emotionally and physically — she receives unexpected guidance from her Tibetan nanny, her well-to-do Connecticut-bred mother, and her doorman who moonlights as a Life Coach."

Playwright Walbert has also penned Quiet, She Said and Year of the Woman as well as the novels "Our Kind," "The Gardens of Kyoto" and "Where She Went." Walbert teaches writing at Yale University.
