TV and film actor D.B. Sweeney stars in the world premiere workshop of Shem Bitterman's Two Churches at Los Angeles' 2nd Stage Theatre Nov. 29-Dec. 9. Performances of the new play by the award-winning The Job playwright benefit the Blank Theatre Company.
Sweeney recently made several appearances on the hit series, "Once and Again," after starring in "X-Files" creator Chris Carter's flop, "Harsh Realm." His film credits include "Eight Men Out," "Memphis Belle," "The Cutting Edge," "Dinosaur" and "Hardball."
Bitterman's The Job played L.A. and New York, garnering the L.A. Drama Critics Circle Award for Best New Work. He won a Drama-Logue for Tulsa and also penned The Ramp, Beijing Legends and "Halloween 5."
Joining Sweeney in the cast are Christopher Curry ("Starship Troopers") and Petra Wright.
