News De Haas Joins Crosby for Opening of Broadway Baby Cabaret Dec. 20 Smokey Joe's Café Tony nominee BJ Crosby celebrates the opening of the new cabaret space, Broadway Baby, with a concert at the Manhattan venue Dec. 20.

Broadway Baby is located within the Broadway Comedy Club on West 53rd Street. Crosby's concert is scheduled for 7 PM and will also feature a guest appearance by singer-actor Darius de Haas. Crosby will offer tunes from her recording, "Best of Your Heart," as well as songs from her musical theatre career. B.J. Crosby portrayed Matron "Mama" Morton in the hit Broadway revival of Chicago. She also starred on Broadway in the revival of One Mo' Time, and she earned a Tony nomination for her work in the long-running revue Smokey Joe's Cafe. Crosby's other theatrical credits include roles in Dreamgirls and George C. Wolfe's Harlem Song.

Upcoming performers at Broadway Baby will include Joanne Beretta, Darius de Haas, Marcus Simeone and Barbara Brussell. The new cabaret space will also present Songs From Manhattan: The Songs of John Wallowitch, featuring Brussell, Steve Ross, Eric Comstock, Marta Sanders and Daryl Sherman.
