Tony Award winner Warchus (The God of Carnage, The Norman Conquests, Boeing-Boeing) directs the popular Levin play, which is scheduled to officially open at the Noel Coward Theater on Sept. 7.

Beale, recent star in the National Theatre's London Assurance, plays Sidney Bruhl, Academy Award winner Parsons ("Bonnie and Clyde," August: Osage County) plays Dutch psychic Helga ten Dorp, Tony Award nominee Groff (Spring Awakening, TV's "Glee") is young writer Clifford Anderson, Claire Skinner (BBC's "Outnumbered" and the film "Bridget Jones's Diary") plays Myra Bruhl.

Producers are David Pugh and Dafydd Rogers.

The play revolves around an English playwright and novelist Sidney Bruhl (Beale), who lives in Connecticut with his American wife (Skinner). He befriends a young writer Clifford (Groff) who has written a new stage thriller, which Bruhl intends to pass off as his own. The cast also includes Terry Beaver.

The creative team also includes set and costume designer Rob Howell, lighting designer Hugh Vanstone and composer Gary Yershon. Deathtrap premiered on Broadway in February 1978 at the Music Box Theatre. The production played six previews and 1,793 regular performances. The original cast included John Wood, Victor Garber, Marian Seldes, Marian Winters and Richard Woods.

Ira Levin, famous for the Roman Polanski film "Rosemary's Baby," is the author of "The Stepford Wives" and "The Boys From Brazil." This is the first London revival of his Deathtrap since the original 1978 production, when the play opened to rave reviews and smash-hit business, subsequently running for more than two years at the Garrick Theatre. A film version was directed by Sidney Lumet, with Michael Caine and Christopher Reeve in the starring roles.
