Bergl will be accompanied by musical director G. Scott Lacy on piano, Philippe Quint on violin and Harry Allen on the saxophone.

Kidding on the Square is described as an evening of "old-fashioned love songs with a twist, a journey that takes the audience on a roaring '20s ride through love, heartbreak, and everything in between.  The show revolves around classic songs from the 1920s and '30s, but also presents vintage retakes on modern favorites from Lily Allen to Madonna."

"My cabaret is from an actor's perspective. I'm not interested in just singing pretty standards at the piano," Bergl said in a statement. "I wanted to develop a complete piece with an arc and different characters: an evening of songs that are stories.  At the end of the day, it's all about entertaining people."

Bergl most recently appeared on the New York stage in Second Stage's Becky Shaw.

The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located at 407 West 42nd Street. For reservations call (212) 695-6909.
