News Despite Appearance, Colony Records Still Open for Business Colony Records, the Times Square music store catering to theatre lovers everywhere, is undergoing a facelift.

"We're redesigning the front of our store," manager Marty Cooper told Playbill On-Line. "People think we're closed, but we're not. We're open for business as usual." The famed store, which boasts one of the largest collections of recorded theatre music and sheet music in the country, opened in 1948. It has remained at its present location in the theatre area since 1971.

Colony Records is located in Manhattan at Broadway and 49th Street. The store is open seven days a week: Monday-Saturday, 9:30 AM-1 AM; Sunday, 10 AM-midnight. For more information visit www.colonymusic.com.
