Classic Arts Features Devin Richards to Release Solo Album Nov. 10; Performance at Metropolitan Room Broadway, cabaret and jazz performer Devin Richards will celebrate the release of his debut solo CD on the LMGJAZZ label with a Nov. 10 performance at Manhattan's Metropolitan Room.

Richards returns to the very stage where the album was recorded when he made his much-acclaimed NY nightclub debut last year. Appropriately, the album is entitled Devin Richards _ My Own Voice - Live at Metropolitan Room.

Produced by Ralph Lampkin, Jr. for LMGJAZZ, the album boasts the bass-baritone lending his voice to such favorites as "Ol' Man River," "Sometimes I Feel Like A Motherless Child," "With Every Breath I Take" and a multi-language version of "Fever." Also featured are renditions of his "My Own Voice" (co-written with Dan Furman) and "Lovers in Disguise" by Steve Schachlin.

Richards has been seen on Broadway in such shows as 110 in the Shade, Victor/Victoria, Seussical, Wonderful Town, Jesus Christ Superstar and the current Tale of Two Cities. He is the voice of Dwayne Forge in the best-selling video game "Grand Auto Theft IV" and was featured in the October issue of Ebony Magazine.

Devin Richards: The CD Release Show is scheduled for Monday, November 10 at 9:30 PM. He will be accompanied by Dan Furman (piano), Michael Vitali (drums), Ritt Henn (bass) and John DiPinto (keyboard, accordion, flute). My Own Voice was originally directed by Alton Fitzgerald White.

The Metropolitan Room is located at 34 West 22nd Street, between 5th and 6th Avenues.

Tickets are priced at $25.00, with a 2-drink minimum, and include a complimentary copy of the CD. For reservations, call (212)206-0440 or visit metropolitanroom.com.

After November 10, the CD will be available for purchase on iTunes, at cdbaby.com or at Devin Richards Online.
