The Bowl will transform itself into the world's largest movie theatre for the one-night-only event. The evening features the famed Paramount Pictures film in full-screen Technicolor and six-track digital sound, complete with subtitles so the audience can sing along.
The festivities begin at 7 PM with a pre-show parade: Audience members are invited to dress in '50s-themed costumes. The "Grease" film will begin at 8:30 PM.
Directed by Randal Kleiser and based on Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey's musical of the same name, "Grease" was released in 1978. The film was nominated for five Golden Globes and an Oscar, and was the winner of the People's Choice Award for Best Musical. The cast also included John Travolta, Olivia Newton-John, Stockard Channing and Jeff Conaway.
