Performances begin March 14 for the world premiere of Abby Rosebrock’s Dido of Idaho at Ensemble Studio Theatre. The new comedy follows a hard-drinking musicologist, who, after a heartache and hitting rock bottom, attempts to reconnect with her estranged, evangelical mother.

Mikhaela Mahony (Noise of the Future) directs a cast made up of Layla Khosh (Bull in a China Shop), Dalia Davi (Tía Julia y el Escribidor), Rosebrock, Curran Connor (Kentucky), and Dawn McGee (Cora & Dave Are Getting Older).

Dido of Idaho will officially open March 22, and is scheduled to play through April 8 in EST's mainstage theatre.

The production features set design by Angelica Borrero (Taming of the Shrew), lighting design by Christina Watanabe (Daniel’s Husband), costume design by Audrey Nauman (Mope), and sound design by Almeda Beynon (Lou).

Dido of Idaho is a co-production with The Radio Drama Network. The play was developed through SPACE on Ryder Farm and EST’s Youngblood program. Click here for tickets and more information.
