Film and theatre star Taye Diggs and his partner Idina Menzel get their groove on, Sept. 11, with Destination Groove, a fund-raising project for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS' South African wing. Diggs, a veteran of the original Broadway production of Rent, went on to film stardom in "How Stella Got Her Groove Back," "The Wood," "The Best Man" and "The House on Haunted Hill," before returning to the stage as Black in Manhattan Theatre Club's The Wild Party. Menzel also performed in that production, as Kate, and played Maureen in the original company of Rent. She will be on hand to sing some of Destination Groove's numbers.

Joining Diggs in the choreographer's chair are Mia Michaels, Dwight Rhoden, Phineas Newborn III and Swing!'s Maria Torres. Among the special guests making their moves real will be Fosse's Desmond Richardson and singers from South Africa.

Tickets are $25 and are paid at the door. The evening begins at 8PM. Limelight is located at 47 West 20th Street.
