News Dinelaris and Saroyan's American Rapture Begins Off-Broadway Run Feb. 14 American Rapture, the pairing of short works from playwrights Alex Dinelaris and William Saroyan, begins performances at the Beckett Theatre Feb. 14.

Three world premieres from Dinelaris, including Spin Cycle, Juggling Jaqueline and Rain, are offered in an evening that culminates with Saroyan's Hello Out There.

Dinelaris (Red Dog Howl, Zanna Don't!) also directs the engagement, which runs through March 1. The double-bill is presented by Oberon Theatre Ensemble.

The cast includes Jane Cortney, Brad Fryman, Vince Gatton, William Laney, Dianna Martin, Donovan Patton, Laura Siner, Max Darwin, Christine Verleny and Stewart Walker.

American Rapture is described as "an evening of short plays, some humorous, some tragic, [that] explore the unique mixture of loneliness and hope, which make up the American Experience." The evening culminates with Saroyan's Hello Out There, a tale of "two outcasts who find love at the most unlikely of times, in the most unlikely of places."

American Rapture has scenic design by Kathryn Veillette and lighting design by Jessica Hinkle. Tickets, priced $20, are available by phoning (212) 279-4200 or by visiting TicketCentral.com.
