Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation presents the discussion as part of its "One-on-One" series.
Cromer previously staged A Streetcar Named Desire, Picnic and The Price at the Chicago-area Writers' Theatre. He is currently represented with the Broadway revival of The House of Blue Leaves. He also directed the New York productions of When the Rain Stops Falling, Broadway Bound and Our Town to acclaim. He is a 2010 MacArthur Fellow.
Halberstam is currently directing the Off-Broadway musical A Minister's Wife, which premiered a the Writers' Theatre in 2009. Among his directorial credits are Diary of a Madman, Candida, Benefactors, The Savannah Disputation, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead and She Loves Me. He has also appeared in numerous Writers' Theatre productions and performed with the Stratford Festival for two years.
