News Directors Sher, Kail, Kaufman, Silverman, Whoriskey Featured on May 31 "Working in the Theater" Tony Award-winning director Bartlett Sher will take part in the American Theatre Wing's latest "Working in the Theater" episode, which is devoted to the work of stage directors.

Airing May 31 at 5 PM ET, "Fluidity & Change: Directors 2009" will be moderated by Variety reporter Gordon Cox. The panel will comprise Sher (Joe Turner's Come and Gone, South Pacific), Tony nominees Thomas Kail (In the Heights) and Moisés Kaufman (33 Variations), as well as Leigh Silverman (Coraline, Well) and Kate Whoriskey (Ruined, Inked Baby). The directors will discuss how they approach and interpret both new and classical scripts, their relationship with the creative team, the necessity of having actors input and their work with casting directors.

The American Theatre Wing's "Fluidity & Change: Directors 2009" will have additional airings June 5, 6 and 7 on CUNY TV. On June 3 the program will be available for download by visiting AmericanTheatreWing.
