News Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Directed and Choreographed by Jerry Mitchell, Opens in London April 2 The U.K. debut of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, directed and choreographed by Tony winner Jerry Mitchell and produced by Jerry Mitchell Productions, officially opens at London's Savoy Theatre April 2 following previews that began March 10.

The production previously played the Manchester Opera House Feb. 12-22 and the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre Feb. 26-March 1.

The cast is led by Robert Lindsay and Rufus Hound as, respectively, conmen Lawrence Jameson and Freddy Benson with Katherine Kingsley as Christine Colgate.

The threesome are joined by Samantha Bond as Muriel Eubanks, John Marquez as Andre Thibault and Lizzy Connolly as Jolene.

Completing the cast are Gavin Alex, Darren Bennett, Niamh Bracken, Lisa Bridge, Darren Carnall, Andy Conaghan, Lizzy Connolly, Phoebe Coupe, Claire Doyle, Alice Fearn, Selina Hamilton, Ian Knauer, Lisa Mathieson, Zak Nemorin, Genevieve Nicole, Javier Santos, Todd Talbot, Dominic Tribuzio, Jon Tsouras and Zara Warren.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels has music and lyrics by Drama Desk Award winner David Yazbek and a book by Golden Globe and Emmy Award winner Jeffrey Lane. "Prepare to be transported to the luxurious lap of the French Riviera where the decadent world of sophisticated conman Lawrence Jameson is set to come crashing down with the arrival of larger-than-life Freddy Benson – a conman of an entirely different order," according to press notes. "Soon realizing the town ain’t big enough for the both of them, the two find themselves going head to head in the con of their lives, pulling out all of the stops in a bid for the affections of millionaire soap heiress Christine Colgate. Little do they know what they’ve let themselves in for."

The musical has set and costume design by Olivier Award winner Peter McKintosh.

It is a co-production between the Ambassador Theatre Group, Jerry Mitchell Productions and Tulchin/Bartner Productions. The production is supported by American Airlines.
