Diversionary Theatre (based in San Diego, California) is set to produce a New York workshop presentation of the new musical TL; DR: Thelma Louise; Dyke Remix. The presentation will be held January 19, 2024 at Out of the Box Theatrics.
The workshop cast will feature Sara Porkalob, Sydney Patrick, Storm Thomas, Nioni Camps, Kimber Sprawl, and Angel Lin.
TL; DR: Thelma Louise; Dyke Remix features a book by EllaRose Chary, music by Brandon James Gwinn, and lyrics by Chary and Gwinn. Sherri Eden Barber will direct the workshop, with Erika Gamez serving as musical director, and Kelly Martindale as stage manager.

"This workshop is a significant milestone in the journey toward realizing this joyously boundary-breaking musical’s world premiere at Diversionary Theatre in San Diego later this spring."
TL; DR: Thelma Louise; Dyke Remix takes the story of Thelma & Louise and reimagines it into a queer rock musical, in which strong female characters don't "always gotta die." The work was presented at the National Alliance for Musical Theatre’s Festival of New Musicals in 2021, and received the 2021 Richard Rodgers Award for Musical Theatre Writing. The show will have a full production in San Diego May 9–June 2, 2024.
