Donmar Warehouse Announces Remainder of Grandage Season

News   Donmar Warehouse Announces Remainder of Grandage Season
London’s Donmar Warehouse has announced the remainder of its first season under artistic director Michael Grandage.

Variety reports that a revival of John Osborne’s The Hotel in Amsterdam will be directed by Three Days of Rain’s Robin Lefevre, and Patrick Marber’s After Miss Julie will receive its stage premiere this Christmas, directed by the 41-year-old Grandage. Grandage, who also heads the Sheffield Theatres in Yorkshire, told the industry paper, “It's weird because I don't feel like I've been doing [this job] a year.” Grandage assumed his role as artistic director of the Donmar after Sam Mendes decided to leave the famed Warehouse after a decade. Mendes is currently represented on Broadway with the hit revival of Gypsy starring Bernadette Peters. Grandage also hopes to stage a Shakespeare play at the Donmar as well as a new musical and an absurdist season.

The Donmar Warehouse is located at 41 Earlham Street in London. The telephone number for the theatre's box office is 011 44 20 7369 1732; go to for more information.
