Donna Murphy, Blythe Danner and Anna Deavere Smith are among the many actors who will star on new CBS drama series this fall.

CBS recently announced seven new series, which include the dramas "Hack," which will air Fridays from 9 to 10 PM, and "Presidio Med," which is scheduled for Wednesday evenings from 10 to 11 PM.

David Morse and Andre Braugher head the cast of "Hack," about an ex-cop turned taxi driver seeking redemption after he's caught taking money from a crime scene. Donna Murphy—the two-time Tony winner for her work in Passion and The King and I—will star as Morse's estranged wife in the series, which is being produced by David Koepp, Gavin Polone and Thomas Carter for Big Ticket Television, in association with CBS Productions. The remainder of the cast comprises Mark Margolis, George Dzundza and Conor O'Farrell.

The star-studded cast of "Presidio Med" features: Blythe Danner, the star of the recent revival of Stephen Sondheim's Follies; Anna Deveare Smith, the Tony-nominated playwright-star of Twilight, Los Angeles: 1992; "China Beach" actress Dana Delany; plus Sasha Alexander, Julianne Nicholson and Oded Fehr. The medical drama set at the Presidio Medical Group in San Francisco concerns a group of physicians "committed to going beyond the examining table and connecting on a more personal level with their patients." John Wells, Lydia Woodward and Chris Chulack—the original production team behind "ER"—are executive producers for Lydia Woodward Productions and John Wells Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.

In related news, "Bram and Alice," the television pilot that stars Roger Bart, Katie Finneran and Alfred Molina, has also been picked up for CBS-TV's fall schedule.
