Murphy plays Bubbie, a Yiddish grandmother who teaches her granddaughter about her past.

Murphy recently talked about her role in the new musical, which officially opens April 28, on WOR's "Joan Hamburg Show." She talks about her experience with the musical and the feedback the production is receiving. The musical, which plays Broadway's Studio 54, focuses on family and sharing one's past.

The cast also includes Alexander Gemignani, Nicole Parker, Christopher Innvar, Lewis J.
