News Donny & Marie's A Broadway Christmas Gets One Extra Performance on Jan. 2 Donny & Marie - A Broadway Christmas, a new holiday stage production starring the showbiz siblings Donny and Marie Osmond, will get an additional performance at 3 PM Jan. 2, 2011, at the Marquis Theatre. The press opening for the family-friendly variety show is Dec. 14. The limited engagement began Dec. 9.

In the holiday tradition of the "Osmond Family Christmas" television specials, Donny & Marie "invite you and your family to join them to celebrate the joy of the season in true Osmond fashion, in person, as the pair share a Broadway stage for the first time," according to the producers. The run will total 22 performances, with no performances Dec. 31 or Jan. 1.

Don't expect to see the siblings at Tony Awards time; this is strictly a special holiday engagement to which Tony Award voters are not invited.

The production is directed and choreographed by Barry Lather. The musical director is Jerry Williams.

Donny & Marie - A Broadway Christmas is produced by Greg Young, Jon B. Platt and Magic Arts & Entertainment in association with Eric Gardner and Greg Sperry, and is sponsored by Nutrisystem.

The ensemble includes Matthew Fish, Karl Hendrickson, Jermaine Johnson, Kelene Johnson, Makinzee Love, Richard McAmish, Jessie Thacker, Jaymz Tuaileva, Ashley Williams and Ivy Michelle Williams. The creative team includes Perry "Butch" Allen and Peter Morse (production design), with set and video design by Allen; Kirstin Gallo (costume design); Peter Morse (lighting design); and David Novitch (production coordinator).

Donny Osmond began his career in entertainment at the age of five, and by 13 had already collected 18 gold records, eventually earning a grand total of 33 throughout his career, with sales of over 80 million albums. He starred in Andrew Lloyd Weber's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat for six years and 2,000 performances. He starred on Broadway as Gaston in Beauty & The Beast, hosted two television series on British network television, was a special correspondent for Entertainment Tonight’s coverage of "Dancing With the Stars" featuring his sister Marie. He was the "Dancing With the Stars" champion in the fall of 2009.

Marie Osmond to returns Broadway after making her Broadway debut in 1997 as Anna in The King and I. She also toured the world as Maria in The Sound of Music in the 1990s. She first appeared on "The Andy Williams Show" at age three, going on to star on the award-winning "Donny and Marie" musical-variety series at age 15. It ran for four seasons, guest-starred the biggest names in entertainment, and was dubbed into 17 languages. The siblings also appeared on The "Donny & Marie" talk show (1998-2000). She was a finalist on TV's "Dancing With the Stars" on season five. She had a No. 1 Billboard single ("Paper Roses") at age 13, followed by hit duet songs with Donny.

The playing schedule for Donny & Marie - A Broadway Christmas is as follows: Monday and Tuesday at 7 PM, Thursday through Saturday at 8 PM, with matinees Saturday at 2 PM and Sunday at 3 PM. There will be an added performance on Wednesday, Dec. 29 at 2 PM, and there will be no performance Dec. 24 at 8 PM or Saturday, Dec. 25 at 2 PM.
