News Don't Cry for Me, Ahasuerus, With Jackie Hoffman and Seth Rudetsky, Will Play 92YTribeca Jackie Hoffman and Seth Rudetsky are teaming up for Don't Cry for Me, Ahasuerus, an off-color account of Queen Esther, which will play the 92YTribeca March 7.

Rachel Shukert, who also created Everything’s Coming Up Moses (for Passover) and Eight Days More (for Hanukkah), also wrote the latest Broadway spoof that will take place at 7:30 PM.

Hoffman (Xanadu, Addams Family, Hairsporay) will play "Esther, the beautiful Jewish girl who becomes queen," with Rudetsky (Disaster!, "The Chatterbox") as "Haman, the Jew-hating royal adviser." The cast will also feature author Shukert, Dan Fishback and Billy Zavelson.

Hoffman's frequent collaborators, including director Michael Schiralli and musical director Bobby Peaco, are on the creative team. Rudetsky previously appeared in Shukert's Everything's Coming Up Moses.
