Roundabout Theatre Company presents London's Menier Chocolate Factory production of the musical at Studio 54. Sam Buntrock directs the show, which is scheduled to officially open Feb. 21 for a limited engagement through April 27.

Inspired by the Georges Seurat painting, "A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte," the musical fantasy jumps from 1880's France to 1980's New York as the painter creates the famous work of art (Act One) and his great grandson searches for inspiration in his own contemporary art world (Act Two).

Joining Evans and Russell onstage are Michael Cumpsty (Democracy, Copenhagen) as Jules/Bob, Alexander Gemignani (Les Misérables, Assassins) as Boatman/Dennis, Jessica Molaskey (Parade, Dream) as Yvonne/Naomi with Mary Beth Peil (Nine, The King and I) as Old Lady/ Blair.

The ensemble also features Ed Dixon (as Mr. Charles), Santino Fontana (Soldier/Alex), Kelsey Fowler and Alison Horowitz (alternate in the role of Louise), Jessica Grove (Celeste #2/Silent Artist), Stacie Morgain Lewis (Frieda/Betty), Drew McVety (Louis/Billy), Anne Nathan (Nurse/Mrs. Harriet), Brynn O'Malley (Celeste #1) and David Turner (Franz/Lee).

The design team includes David Farley (set and costume design), Ken Billington (lighting design), Sebastian Frost (sound design), Timothy Bird (projection design) and Tom Watson (hair & wig). Christopher Gattelli provides musical staging. Caroline Humphris is musical supervisor. Orchestrations are by Jason Carr. John Miller serves as music coordinator. Kate Wilson is dialect coach. Roundabout produces the Broadway run in association with Bob Boyett, Debra Black, Jam Theatricals, Stephanie P. McClelland and Ostar Productions with Caro Newling for Neal Street Productions and Mark Rubinstein. The revival first bowed at the Menier before moving to the Wyndham's Theatre in London's West End.

The London cast album for the Olivier Award winner for Outstanding Musical Production was released by PS Classics.

Sondheim and Lapine's Sunday in the Park with George originally opened at Broadway's Booth Theatre on May 2, 1984, starring Mandy Patinkin as George and Bernadette Peters as Dot. The cast also included Barbara Bryne, Brent Spiner, Charles Kimbrough and Dana Ivey. The musical was awarded a Pulitzer Prize.

The production continues Roundabout's relationship with the work of composer Sondheim, having produced revivals of Company (1995), Follies (2001), Assassins and Pacific Overtures (both in 2004). Sunday follows the latter two, which also played Studio 54.

Tickets to Sunday in the Park with George at Studio 54, 254 West 54th Street, are available through Roundabout Ticket Services at (212) 719-1300 or online at roundabouttheatre.org.
