Blessings: An Evening of Two Lee Blessing Plays will open April 8 at the Company of Angels for a six- week run. The double bill features Down the Road and Riches, two dark works which probe the hidden side of the human psyche. Bill Hyatt directs.

Down the Road deals with two married journalists who, in the course of interviewing a serial killer, discover they have profoundly different and disturbing responses to his revelations.

In Riches, a 21st wedding anniversary turns violent when a seemingly happily married couple find they can no longer hide their inner demons.

Cast in the two plays are Joshua Fardon, Diane Perell, John Prince and Stacie Wilson.

On May 22 at 8 PM, a special benefit performance will feature a question and answer session with Blessing.The Angels' Theatre is at 2106 Hyperion in Silver Lake. Call (323) 883-1717 for information.
