The annual Artios Awards, presented by the Casting Society of America for outstanding achievement in casting, were presented at a Nov. 1 ceremonies in the Grand Ballroom of Los Angeles' Beverly Hilton Hotel and the Penthouse Lobby of New York's American Airlines Theatre.

Also of note to the theatre community, John Papsidera and Wendy O'Brien, the casting gurus behind HBO's film version of Ruben Santiago-Hudson's stageshow Lackawanna Blues, were honored for Movie of the Week Casting. And stage director Joe Mantello — who is known for working with star-studded casts (Glengarry Glen Ross, The Odd Couple, the upcoming Three Days of Rain with Julia Roberts) — was awarded the New York's Apple Award for his significant contribution to the New York Theatre community.
