As previously announced, Tony winner Stockard Channing, who will head the cast of the Jamie Lloyd-directed production in the role of Kristin Miller, will be joined by Freema Agyeman (Sense8, Doctor Who, Torchwood) as Claire, Olivier nominee Desmond Barrit (Henry IV, Parts I and II) as Hugh, and Joseph Millson (The Last Kingdom, Banished) as Kristin's sons.

The final addition to the cast is Laura Carmichael, best known for playing Lady Edith Crawley in Downton Abbey, who will play the role of Trudi.

Channing portrays a firebrand liberal matriarch and eminent art historian. A birthday gathering should be a cause for celebration, but the cracks in her family relationships are brought to the surface by the recent publication of her memoir.

Apologia follows playwright Campbell’s critical success with The Pride and his acclaimed plays Sunset at The Villa Thalia at the National Theatre and The Faith Machine at the Royal Court Theatre.

Apologia is produced by Howard Panter for Trafalgar Entertainment Group, DB Productions, and Broadway’s Dodger Theatricals.

Performances are currently scheduled to continue through November 18. For tickets, visit ATGTickets.com/TrafalgarStudios.
