On Monday, Feb. 24, the Theatre Development Fund's Downtown TKTS discount ticket booth will re-open after a four-week lay-off (beginning Jan. 27) due to needed repairs on the escalators at 2 World Trade Center. With the escalators brought "back up to code" by the Port Authority, the TKTS booth at 2WTC will resume its regular hours of Mon-Fri 11-5:30 PM, Sat 11-3:30 PM.
That TKTS location, which offers theatre and music/dance tickets at discounts of up to 50 percent, is a satellite of the main booth in Duffy Square (Broadway and 47th St.) which remained fully operational.
Theatre Development Fund normally keeps the Duffy Square booth open Mon.-Sat. 3-8 PM, Wed & Sat 10 AM-2 PM (specifically matinees), Sun 11AM-7 PM.
Patrons should keep in mind that only at the downtown booth can you buy tickets for the next day's matinee on the previous night.
