News Drama Desk-Winning Toxic Audio Will Return to New York Stage Jan. 20 Toxic Audio, the five-person vocalist group that won a 2004 Drama Desk Award for most Unique Theatrical Experience, will return to the New York stage Jan. 20 and 21.

The a cappella group will perform three shows at New World Stages; show times are Jan. 20 at 2:30 and 9 PM and Jan. 21 at 7:30 PM. Toxic Audio currently features the talents of Jeremy James, Shalisa James, René Ruiz, Paul Sperrazza and Michelle Mailhot-Valines. John A. Valines III is the group's sound designer. Without the use of instruments Toxic Audio, according to a press notes, "merge their considerable talents for an explosion of vocal acrobatics, unstoppable rhythm and improv comedy in a show which takes the audience on an unforgettable musical journey which defies definition." In 2004 the group played over 200 performances at Off-Broadway's John Houseman Theatre.
