News Drama League Awards Ceremony, Honoring Broadway and Off-Broadway Productions, Will Be Held May 16 The 80th Annual Drama League Awards Ceremony will be held May 16.

The cut-off date for eligibility for the awards is April 20, and the nominees for Distinguished Play, Distinguished Revival of a Play, Distinguished Musical, Distinguished Revival of a Musical and the Distinguished Performance Award will be announced April 23 at Sardi's. 

The Awards ceremony, which includes pre-event cocktails and an afternoon luncheon ceremony, will be held at the Marriott Marquis Times Square.

The Drama League Awards were first awarded in 1922 and formalized in 1935. They are the only major theatregoer awards chosen by audience members — specifically, by the thousands of Drama League members nationwide who attend Broadway and Off-Broadway productions.
