News Drat! The Cat! to Play the Duplex; Casting Announced Opening Doors Theatre Company's Closing Notice Series will continue with the 1965 musical Drat! The Cat! Nov. 8, 9, 11 and 12 at 7 PM at The Duplex.

Directed by Jeremy Gold Kronenberg with musical direction by Ted Kociolek, the cast will comprise Richard Rice Alan, Danny Blaylock, Nigel Jamaal Clark, Mark Emerson, Debra Thaïs Evans, Gladiss Gressley, Bridget Harvey, Emily Jenda, Jillian Prefach and Nick Reynolds.

The musical features a score by Milton Schafer and book and lyrics by Ira Levin. Christine Schwalenberg will choreograph. The producer is Billie Di Stefano.

"Career girl Alice Van Guilder is not content to settle down and get married like the rest of the nice young ladies, so she decides to become a burglar instead - preying on the very upper-crust society she's rebelling against," according to press notes. "Pursued by a nebbish detective, Alice - also known as The Cat! - finds herself enjoying the pursuit a little too much."
