Show time for the evening, which is entitled Far Away Places, is 7:30 PM in the Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage. The concert is described as "a travelogue of styles and stories that traces the actress’s wanderlust with songs from the likes of Kurt Weill, Cole Porter, and Edith Piaf."

Conceived and directed by Scott Wittman, Far Away Places features musical arrangements by Joseph Thalken and dialogue by Jeffrey Richman, Wittman and LuPone.

LuPone is joined on stage by musical director and pianist Thalken, violinist Andy Stein, guitarist Larry Saltzman, accordionist Antony Geralis, bass player John Beal and percussionist Paul Pizzuti. Bridget Everett will make a special appearance.

Far Away Places, directed by Wittman and written by Richman, opened the new Manhattan music venue 54 Below in June 2012. Since then, LuPone and her team have expanded the concert to a two-act format.

"Patti LuPone Far Away Places," which was recorded during the two-time Tony winner's engagement at 54 Below last summer, was released Jan. 15 by Broadway Records. The live album also includes dialogue and stories that thread the evening together.

LuPone is a Tony Award winner for her performances in Evita and Gypsy and an Olivier winner for her work in Les Miserables and The Cradle Will Rock. Read more about the award-winning artist's career in the Playbill Vault.
