News Drew Lachey, John Tartaglia, Tom Alan Robbins Cast in Reading of New Musical Plop, About Boy Bands Canton Theatrical will present industry readings of the new musical Plop May 7 at 1 PM and 5 PM at S.I.R. (in Stage 1) in Manhattan.

Anthony J. Cantalupo will direct the readings of the musical, which features book, music and lyrics by Damon Intrabartolo (bare).

The cast will feature Drew Lachey (formerly of the boy band 98°), John Tartaglia (Avenue Q) and Tom Alan Robbins (The Lion King) .

Plop is described as an "homage to an era when boy bands and pop princesses ruled the world — the late 90's!"

Music supervisor Ethan Popp has penned the vocal arrangements with Bryan Crook.

Plans are underway to launch the musical this fall in a major commercial production in Orlando.
