News DruidSynge – Directed by Tony Winner Garry Hynes — to Play Guthrie and Lincoln Center The Guthrie Theater will present the U.S. debut of the Druid Theater Company's DruidSynge.

Variety reports that DruidSynge, which premiered in Galway in July before touring to Dublin and the Edinburgh International Festival, will play Guthrie's new $125 million theatre June 27-July 1. DruidSynge, which features all six of John Millington Synge's plays, will then be presented in New York as part of the Lincoln Center Festival, July 12-23. Tony Award winner Garry Hynes, who staged the works for the Druid Theater Company, will repeat her work on these shores. DruidSynge features such plays as The Playboy of the Western World, Shadow of the Glen, The Tinker's Wedding and Deirdre of the Sorrows. The latter is an unfinished work left by the playwright who died, age 37, in 1908.
