Oscar winner Olympia Dukakis ("Moonstruck") and her husband Louis Zorich wear many hats in the new production of Anton Chekov's The Cherry Orchard the two are heading up at Pacific Repertory Theatre in Carmel, California. Both adapted the piece from Nikos Psacharopoulos' Williamstown translation, while Dukakis stars and Zorich directs the production, running July 13-Aug. 5 at the Golden Bough Playhouse.

Dukakis recently returned to Broadway in 2000's solo show, Rose, a production she also performed in the West End. Other film credits include "Steel Magnolias," "Dad," "Look Who's Talking," "Mighty Aphrodite" and "Picture Perfect." She ran the Whole Theatre in Montclair, NJ, from 1971 until it closed in 1990. Zorich comes to The Cherry Orchard directly from the Roundabout's Follies revival, in which he played producer Dimitri Weismann. His theatrical performances include City Center's Encores! Series On A Clear Day... and the Voices Series' Little Murders, Roundabout's She Loves Me and Death of a Salesman with Dustin Hoffman.

Also in the cast are family members Apollo (co-directing with Zorich) and Christiana Zorich, Caryne Shea, William Wise, Maury Ginsburg, Michael Jacobs, Mary Ann Schaupp, Tim Hart, Julie Hughett, Jerry Heichin, John Farmanesh-Bocca, John Rosseau and John Brady.

Designing The Cherry Orchard are Jean-Francois Revon (sets), R.J. Woffard II (lighting) and Sigrid Insull and Katheryn Hart (costumes).
