News Duly, Blake, Pitt-Pulford, Reed Will Bring Copacabana to Life at U.K.'s Watermill The new summer production of Barry Manilow's musical Copacabana at The Watermill in West Berkshire will feature Edward Baker Duly as Stephen/Tony, Basienka Blake as Conchita and Laura Pitt-Pulford as Samantha/Lola.

Directed and choreographed by Craig Revel Horwood, the production will play the British theatre July 15-Sept. 4. The creative team of the award-winning Watermill productions of Spend Spend Spend!, Hot Mikado and Sunset Boulevard are behind this production of the musical inspired by Manilow's hit song.

Sarah Travis is musical supervisor and created musical arrangements.

In New York City, Lola Lamar is a small-town girl with big dreams of stardom, moving from one nightclub to another looking for her big break. Enter budding songwriter, Tony Star, with dreams of his own. According to Watermill, "Smitten by the lovely Lola, he arranges an audition at the Copacabana and launches her career as a Copa girl. But the path of true love never did run smoothly and the Lola is whisked away by the villainous Rico to perform in his club, the Tropicana, in Havana. Aided by the sensational Cuban star Conchita Alvarez, Tony stages a dramatic rescue..."

Copacabana has music by Manilow, lyrics by Bruce Sussman and Jack Feldman, book by Manilow, Feldman and Sussman.

The company also includes Adam C. Booth (Featured Dancer), Robin Colyer(Ensemble), Julian Littman(Sam), Karen Mann (Gladys), Neil MacDonald (Show MD), Cassie Pearson(Ensemble), Sally Peerless (Ensemble), Antony Reed (Rico) and Joe West (Ensemble). The creative team includes set and costume designer Diego Pitarch, lighting designer Richard G. Jones and sound designer Gareth Tucker.
