Upcoming Chicago star Sandy Duncan and Tony Award-winning choreographers Patricia Birch (Parade) and Graciela Daniele (Annie Get Your Gun) will judge the dance stylings of students grades 4, 5 and 6 at the "Colors of the Rainbow Team Match," June 15.
Created by in 1994 by American Ballroom Theatre Company artistic directors Pierre Dulaine and Yvonne Marceau, the "Colors of the Rainbow Team Match" features five teams of students competing in Merengue, Fox Trot, Rumba, Tango and Swing. The five teams represent nine New York City public schools.
Also judging the competition will be legendary dancer and screen star Marge Champion and former baseball player Jim Bouton.
The competition runs 5-6:30 PM at the World Financial Center's Winter Garden. The Winter Garden is located on West Street between Liberty Street and South End Avenue.
