Previews for the solo show began Aug. 6 with an official opening Aug. 15. When it closes, Bipartisan Bashing will have played 49 performances. Durst describes the show as "a 90-minute political comedy for people who are sick of politics as usual. We laugh to keep from crying, right? And with a president, two houses of Congress and endless parade of presidential hopefuls making daily punch lines out of headlines, I've got the best joke-writers in the business working for me."

The San Francisco-based Durst, who is known for his regular commentary on CNN and NPR, also writes a nationally syndicated op-ed column. He has been nominated for five Emmy Awards and received seven nominations for the American Comedy Awards' Stand Up of the Year prize.

Presented by Hanging Chad Productions, The All-American Sport of Bipartisan Bashing plays New World Stages, which is located in Manhattan at 340 West 50th Street.

Tickets are priced $30-$50. Student rush tickets, priced $20, are available at all performances 20 minutes prior to curtain with valid student ID. Call (212) 239-6200 or visit telecharge.com or www.willdurst.com.
