News Eartha Kitt Purrs in the New Year at Joe's Pub, Dec. 31 Stage and concert star Eartha Kitt will bring her act to Joe's Pub in downtown Manhattan on New Year's Eve, Dec. 31. Kitt will offer an 8 PM concert at the intimate cabaret, which is located off the Public Theater.

Kitt received a Tony Award nomination for her work in The Wild Party. She has also appeared on Broadway in Bal Negre, Leonard Silliman's New Faces of 1952, Mrs. Patterson, Shinbone Alley, Jolly's Progress and Timbuktu!. She won a Tony nomination for the latter.

More recently, she played the Fairy Godmother in the national tour of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella.

Kitt's screen credits are numerous, including the 1965 drama "I Spy," for which she was nominated for an Emmy Award. Her autobiography is entitled "I'm Still Here: Confessions of a Sex Kitten."

Tickets are priced at $125, which include the concert as well as music from DJ Scram, who will spin classics and hip-hop beginning at 10 PM. A few tickets are still available.

Joe's Pub is located within the Public Theater at 425 Lafayette Street, between East 4th Street and Astor Place. Tickets are available at the Public Theater's box office or by calling (212) 539-8776.
