The Broadway cast of Swing! will be featured on the Easter Seals' first annual spring special, "Swing Into Spring," hosted by Barry Bostwick. The hour-long show on the Easter Seals story highlights the healing power of dance. "Swing Into Spring" airs nationally on the PAX Network at 9 PM (EST) March 25 and at 4 PM (EST) March 26.
Production sources report that "Swing Into Spring" spent time in Los Angeles with Swing! director-choreographer Lynne Taylor-Corbett when she was there to audition future cast replacements. In New York, the crew visited Broadway's St. James Theatre and spoke with featured dancers Laureen Baldovi, Beverly Durand, Scott Fowler, Edgar Godineaux and Robert Royston. Some of the taping for "Swing Into Spring" took place at the Supper Club and Swing 46.
Swing! opened Dec. 9, 1999. The musical is directed and choreographed by Lynne Taylor-Corbett and supervised by four-time Tony Award-winner Jerry Zaks.
