Eugene O'Brien's Eden, originally scheduled to play at the Arts Theatre in February, will now be staged there in October, and tickets are now on sale through an exclusive on-line offer with Theatrenow.
Eden's arrival at the Arts is a major theatrical event, the play having received rave reviews in a sell-out run at the Abbey Theatre. Eugene O'Brien is one of Ireland's most exciting playwrights, and this is his latest and most successful play.
Eden comes with the added attraction of fellow playwright, Olivier Award-winning Conor (The Weir) McPherson, who previously directed his own Port Authority, but whose presence in Eden is a huge vote of confidence from one writer to another.
Eden is a two-person play that examines the self-destruction of a marriage: that of Breda (Catherine Walsh) and Billy (Don Wycherley), living in a small-town community in the Irish midlands where life revolves around the pub and the disco.
