The veteran theatre critic Jack Tinker, who died in 1996, is to be commemorated with an award: The Jack Tinker Spirit of the Fringe Award. The Assembly Rooms in Edinburgh are organizing the Jack Tinker Spirit of the Fringe Award, which will be presented at the National Museum of Scotland on Aug. 23.
The Award is, like Tinker himself, versatile and wide-ranging: it can be for a distinguished performer, director, venue, or individual performance. The decision will be made by a panel of eight judges, and is likely to be become a highly sought-after annual prize.
