News Egan and Morrow are The Grand Dames of Broadway Oct. 9 Susan Egan and Karen Morrow will be part of the University of Miami's 2005 Festival Miami concert season.

The two Broadway actresses will perform in concert Oct. 9 at the University's Gusman Concert Hall. Entitled The Grand Dames of Broadway, the 4 PM concert will feature tunes from Gypsy, Annie Get Your Gun, South Pacific, Annie, Beauty and the Beast and Thoroughly Modern Millie.

Christopher McGovern will be the musical director and pianist for the concert, which will conclude with a salute to Tony Award-winning composer Jerry Herman.

Susan Egan received Tony and Drama Desk Award nominations for her work in Beauty and the Beast, and her other theatre credits include Thoroughly Modern Millie, Cabaret, Triumph of Love, Putting It Together and Hello Again. Her debut solo recording was titled "So Far" and includes tunes from her many theatrical outings; her second solo disc is entitled "Coffee House."

Karen Morrow's Broadway credits include I Had a Ball, A Joyful Noise, I'm Solomon, The Grass Harp, The Selling of the President and The Mystery of Edwin Drood. She received a Theatre World Award for her performance in Sing, Muse!, and her regional credits are numerous.
